The Turning Point

Hello,

My name is Dogan George Gokce, and it reflects my heritage of being born to a Scottish/ English mother and a Turkish father. The literal translation of my name means "Falcon of the Sky" with homage to my maternal grandfather embodied in the moniker, George.  I just go by "Don" or "Do-an," a phonetic spelling of my first name.

I have always had an intense desire to explore and investigate that "essence" which we all look out of when experiencing life and that shapes our impressions, intellect, and curiosity.  The physical sciences, mathematics, philosophy, history and archaeology, music, literature, and particularly geometry all contribute to the lens required to understand the empowering story that I wish to relate.

My day job and traditional education has been that of an engineer/ scientist in the U.S. aerospace industry having worked with such companies as Lockheed Martin, McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing developing next generation flight vehicles in both the civil and military sectors. However, the personal quest for knowledge has been my main passion through the years.  Finding and describing something new and powerful by being mindful of past expression and effort has been a central goal.
